I have my CanoScan FS 4000 US now quite some time and
presently, I get my very best results with the new Kodak Royal Supra 400, exposed at 200 ASA. This negative film needs 4000 dpi to show it's real power.
The best I have ever seen. Please note: Multiple scanning may improve the electronic noise generatet by the scan device by the square root of the number of passes. However, the problem is still the the grain of the film material.
