I also had bands across my images with Vuescan only. No problem in filmget. They seem to be caused by the infrared cleaning method of vuescan.Follow the calibration method for films in Vuescan. Than you can see the infrared (dust) channel on its own. This channel showed the bands I noticed in my images. Turned it off and the bands were gone.Martin: Got my new FS4000US, but there seems to be a problem. On this page http://www.cerebros.demon.co.uk/problems.htm you can see two sample scans where there is a visible banding towards the top of the image. This banding occurs no matter which image editing program the scans are scanned into, or whichever method by which the scan is obtained (FilmGet or Vuescan), so this leads me to think this could be a scanner fault.: Before I contact the store to arrange a return, can anyone tell me if there might be something extremely obvious that I'm missing?
