I am hoping someone may be able to give me an explanation for a strange thing that has happened. I love my scanner, it works just fine BUT the file sizes of my recent scans are about four times the size of similar ones done a couple of weeks ago. I am unaware of my having made any changes. In my ignorance, if something is working I leave well alone. Any suggestions? Both sets of files are jpegs.

Secondly, when the 'Scanning to a file' setting is chosen in FilmGet (this is my regular setting), should the settings in the box where you select the dpi you want become active? Mine don't - how do I activate them?
