After scanning over 200 negs and slides the brilliance of the Canon FS4000 is showing through. Ive been able to narrow down the (black dot syndrom) to dust and noise issues...It is a learning curve and you will have to experiment with all the options until you start to get the desired results..This will take time but it is worth it.I use Vuescan I find it more accurate then Filmget it seems to give me more true color..If you follow some of the suggestions here that Norman provides and pay attention to the Grit vs Grain section you will start to understand the scanner a bit better..I feel its worth every penny....
