: O.K. folks lets post some positive aspects of this scanner.I dare you.

I've had no problems with the scanner at all. It makes grinding and grunting noises and I could care less what it sounds like! It has rendered excellent, sharp scans with fine detail and the FARE dust removal is fantastic!! If I had to make any complaint at all it would be that I'm not to thrilled with the results from Kodachrome slides but B&W negs, color negs, and all other slide film has been superb! I can live without Kodachrome :)
I do little if anything with the Filmget software other than make the scans and dust removal. Then all my image editing is done with Picture Window Pro which is also fantastic! Unlike Photoshop it is "intended for use by photographers" and so has a much easier learning curve since it is in a language I already know :)
