 | | This rendering, and the following one, were developed for the exhibit "Soleri's Cities: Architecture for the Planet Earth and Beyond," which was shown at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts in the fall of 1993. Animations of this model were also featured in a video documentary of the same name, which was aired on PBS, NHK, and other networks around the world. |
 | | The modeling was done in AutoCAD r11, and the rendering was done in 3D Studio r1. On a 25 mhz 486, each image took over 75 hours to render. |
 | | In 1996 I created the Virtual Arcosanti Model, an extremely detailed, yet highly optimized, low polygon-count model, for use in virtual reality applications. Modeling was done in a combination of AutoCAD, 3D Studio, and hand-coded VRML. |
